Podcast

http://www.testingthewaters.mypodcast.com/ Okay, folks! The shown URL should get you to where my Testing the waters 1 and Testing the waters2 podcasts reside. I’m leaving it at this for now. It has taken me, with phone and other interruptions, most of the morning to complete. Yikes! Anyway, if you can access it then it has been worth it and I would try it again. I have to say that I like the vocal vs. visual

1.  Nope: checked it myself and accessing via clicking on the URL is a no go. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong? Please advise. I will return!

2.  YES the URL is now operational. Yah!

  1. Hi Anne,
I wonder if you are missing the last part of the URL? You could check it on the MyPodcast site.

    Thanks Glen.
I will. I also went to MyPodcast help. I’ll see what response I receive.
    Anne

  2. One easy way to do it is when you are creating your blog comment, Highlight one of the words and press the link button, this will allow you to add a url link to you podcast. I will be on skype later if you want to call me.

Got it! Thanks! I’m glad to have figured it out before having to ask you where the ‘link’ button is … seriously!
I forgot that there was a Skypecast scheduled for last night. I read your comment later in the p.m. and decided to try again this morning.
    You’re a teacher’s teacher!

  3. Way to persevere Anne! The podcast worked like a charm.
I’m sure the topic would be of interest to your classes.

  4. Everything is working and it was interesting to hear about the whales.

  5. Good job. I never related the podcast to whales. I wonder if Steve Jobs (Apple founder) ever thought about that when they thougth of iPods. I guess I’ll have to look that up. As a former Leaf Rapids resident, I appreciated your reference to the Churchill River. It brought back memories of fishing for the many delicious pickeral there.

  6. Hi Anne, I had the opportunity to listen to your podcast this evening and I enjoyed it very much. It’s interesting to note how much closer I felt when listening to your voice as opposed to reading your words. I wonder if our students would feel more involved in a lesson if they were listening rather than reading. I know it’s pretty interesting to listen to Brian talk us through a math lesson while we watch what he writes. Because I have speedy access there’s no problem with downloading sound as opposed to loading a text document. I liked your comparison of swimming with the whales as an example of blended learning.
